This scale is removed from the surface by high pressure water jets in a process called as Descaling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><em>Stage 8 &#8211; Roughing Mill<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"http:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-8-Roughing-Mill.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1042\" srcset=\"https:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-8-Roughing-Mill.jpg 600w, https:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-8-Roughing-Mill-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The stainless-steel slab is then sent back and forth through the Roughing Mill to reduce its thickness and increase its length, without changing its width.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><em>Stage 9 \u2013 Finishing Mill &nbsp;<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-9-Finishing-Mill.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1043\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-9-Finishing-Mill.jpg 600w, https:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-9-Finishing-Mill-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Having acquired the shape of a sheet, it is now sent to further thinning in the Finishing Mill, depending on customer&#8217; requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><em>Stage 10 \u2013 Coiling<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"http:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-10-Coiling.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1044\" srcset=\"https:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-10-Coiling.jpg 600w, https:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-10-Coiling-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These stainless-steel slabs are now turned into plates (~20 mm thickness) or coils (~6 mm thickness) as per order after several intermediate processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><em>Stage 11 \u2013 Annealing<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" src=\"http:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-11-Annealing.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1045\" srcset=\"https:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-11-Annealing.jpg 600w, https:\/\/omgurudevmetals.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/Stage-11-Annealing-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The hot rolled (HR) coil undergoes a thermal process called annealing, in which the metal is given a consistent, uniform internal structure and homogeneous properties.
